Rachel Smalley has taken up a role at TVNZ.
The former TV3 news anchor and reporter will co-host Q+A alongside Susan Wood, with Corin Dann and Michael Parkin.
TVNZ have reported she will also file stories for Sunday.
Smalley left TV3 last year to take up a roll as host of Newstalk ZB’s Early Edition.
“I’m delighted to be joining such a strong team of political journalists on Q+A, in what will be a very exciting year. Politics is gripping the country at the moment, and the discussion and the debate will only grow as we edge closer to the election. Rachel Smalley said in a statement.
“The chance to report on Sunday is something I also jumped at. It’s the country’s flagship long-form current affairs programme, and I’m looking forward to working alongside some of New Zealand’s most experienced and talented journalists.”
Smalley’s arrival has been welcomed by TVNZ’s Current Affairs Editor Briar McCormack.
“Rachel has established herself as one of New Zealand’s top current affairs interviewers and I am very pleased she has decided to join the Q+A team. I am looking forward to working with her in what promises to be an exciting year for political current affairs.”
Q+A is back soon to TV ONE. Sunday screens Sundays at 7.00pm on TV ONE
