VIDEO: CNN Translates English to……English

There was an awkward few moments on CNN last night when they took a feed from a press conference where David Cameron was speaking with French President, François Hollande.

Perfect! The feed came with a translator allowing an English audience to listen to what Hollande had to say.

The problem occurred with Hollande finished talking and Cameron started. The French to English translation continued.

That’s okay! CNN just translated it back to English again.

After nearly 34 years with Cable News Network, the time has come to say Farewell!

It has been my honor to work alongside all of you for all of these years. This is one of the greatest news organizations in the world. It has truly revolutionized information delivery while driving technological advances in how we gather the news.

Through it all, CNN has been a family to my own family. That means something.

As I reflect on all of the great adventures and achievements of the past, I wish you great success in the future.

Long time CNN reporter Susan Candiotti has announced she will be leaving the network.

US website, The Wrap obtained her farewell email.

There are many changes around us and soon I’ll be part of them. After nearly 21 years at CNN working alongside world class journalists, I’ll be moving on. I’ve been privileged to tell stories about people and institutions, despair and resilience, cruelty and kindness from coast to coast, the Caribbean, Central and South America and beyond.

Not done yet! I’ll be covering an upcoming murder trial of a certain athlete near Boston starting next month. Thanks to all for helping me in every facet of news gathering. What a team!
