I hope someone from Media Works is reading all these posts & actually does something about it , I agree The Sound is crap , they need to bring back Solid Gold, Scott not all of Solid Golds listeners were over 50 ,I’m 31 & had been listening to Solid Gold since I was a teenager when it started broadcasting in October 1997 , I can’t wait to see the ratings for this new station when they are released in April ,

what have you done,what a horrible sound now comes from my stereo,where oh where is the music we all love,bring back what we used to love and not the mish mash we now have ,will move on till you bring back the decent music that at least we can all sing to as we go about our stressfull lives

I was 100% listener to solid gold but cant stomach the new station and have moved on….i didnt even no it was happening! Solid Gold wasnt broken, so dont fix it, you have lost our familys ‘ears’….bad move BRING BACK SOLID GOLD

Solid Gold was the one constant on building sites most merchants and cars belonging to those of us who enjoyed listening to a decent range of music while we worked.Sadly,those days are gone and button no 3 on my radio will remain inactive.Why change something if it aint broke.Wake up people and try listening to the people who matter – us, the listening public.Get rid of ‘The Sound’-it really is crap.

I think the new format is fantastic. The music is far more varied and less of the same old songs all the time. All my friends have also switched across or back.

Well I was prepared to give the new station a try…..I have just driven home from out of town listening to it and have come to the decision that yes, another listener has been lost. I miss the light sing along music, all I seem to hear now is what I call head banging loud noise. Bring back SOLID GOLD!!!!!!!
