TVNZ weather live from Tauranga on Monday

Jim Hickey will be broadcasting live from the Western Bay of Plenty on Monday night to launch the new Tauranga ‘Hover’ on the weather map. The forecast will be more detailed and include a pictorial simulation of tomorrow’s weather. Tauranga is slightly further north than Hamilton so the city’s forecast will come just before Auckland’s.

The early morning coverage of Obama’s inauguration has given both networks an increase in their early morning ratings figures. Breakfast was watched by 129,760 people, up from 118,220 on Tuesday. US Airways Jet down in NY

A US Airways jet has crashed into the Hudson River.  Live TV shots show the mostly intact wreckage floating partially submerged. The aircraft is reportedly an Airbus A320 with over 150 people on board. Dan News
