Two remain critical after severe turbulence on board flight


Eighteen of the 20 people injured during severe turbulence on a South African Airways flight have been released from hospital.

Two passengers on board SA286 from Johannesburg to Hong Kong remain in hospital and are listed as critical after the incident.

Flight SA286, an Airbus A340-300 aircraft, departed on Tuesday, 15 July at 17h11 (SA time). The aircraft experienced turbulence on route to Hong Kong and 20 people (17 passengers and 3 crew) were injured.
