An Air New Zealand flight to Hong Kong had to turn back to Auckland last night after a smoke warning light activated in the cockpit.
The crew of the 777-200 reported the incident not long after take off and returned to Auckland as a precaution.
There were 287 people on board.
The aircraft involved is reported to be ZK-OKE
It is believed the warning light may have been caused by someone smoking in a toilet.
The flight later departed at 3am and has since arrived in Hong Kong.
