SKY NEWS NZ is delighted to announce Charlotte Bellis will join the Prime News – First at 5.30 team as weekend news anchor.
Bellis brings with her a wealth of journalistic experience in news reporting and producing to the role, and will begin her new role in April, completing Prime’s current on-air line up of weekday news anchor veteran broadcaster Eric Young and NZ News Director Alistair Wilkinson.
“We are thrilled Charlotte is joining the SKY NEWS NZ team. She is an excellent journalist and a talented newsreader. I’m confident our viewers will warm to her immediately,” said Wilkinson.
SKY’s Director of Entertainment Programming Travis Dunbar was equally delighted by the appointment. “Prime News – First at 5.30 is a well respected and popular news offering and we know our viewers will find Charlotte a credible and welcome addition to the already strong on-air team,”
Supported by SKY Television and backed by the worldwide resources of SKY NEWS 24-hour news service, Prime News – First at 5.30 will continue to offer viewers a concise roundup of national and international news and sport with immediate access to breaking news and events.
The half hour broadcast is produced by SKY News at Prime’s Albany news centre seven days a week.
