Video: One News broadcast apology after broken boat breaking news bungle

One News have apologised on air for the broadcast of an incorrect breaking news ticker on Tuesday night.

The ticker appeared during ‘Air Crash Confidential’ at approximately 10pm and stated ‘a container ship’ had broken up.

Last night Wendy Petrie said a training exercise was to blame and systems have been put in to place to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
