Fans of UK soap Coronation Street have called for the Prime Minister to intervene in TVNZ’s decision to move the show to a 5.30pm time slot.
In a statement this morning, TVNZ announced that Masterchef Australia will be screened at 7.30pm on TV ONE.
“They spent millions of dollars on rugby and now there is a Warriors fan zone, what about Coro fans? It’s just not right!” one fan told Dan News.
Prime Minister John Key made a brief comment this afternoon.
“I don’t think the programmers will be winning any troties with this decision.”
