Steps to reunite for documentary series 1

Pop group Steps are reuniting for a documentary series to be broadcast in the UK later this year.

Band members Claire Richards, Lisa Scott-Lee, Ian ‘H’ Watkins, Lee Latchford-Evans and Faye Tozer have signed on to appear in a four part Sky Living series.

ITV Studios Creative Director Michael Kelpie told Digital Spy: “Steps came, they entertained and then went their separate ways. Their split was acrimonious, messy and played out on the front pages of the national newspapers.

“This documentary series reveals the truths behind the polished pop fa├žade that led to the break-up of one of the most successful pop acts in the UK.

“Steps will face their demons as they try to rebuild both personal and working relationships. It will undoubtedly be explosive viewing.”

One Steps fan who spoke to Dan News said that although some would say the band are better best forgotten, the reunion will be no tragedy.

The Christchurch man who wishes to remain anonymous said the announcement took him by surprise.

“A reunion was the last thing on my mind” he said.
