CNN to broadcast “Surviving the Tsunami”

CNN International announced today that it will air the remarkable NHK-produced documentary ‘Surviving the Tsunami’ on Sunday July 24th at 11.00pm.

The 9.0 magnitude earthquake that hit the northern coast of Japan on March 11th, 2011, was the worst ever recorded in the countries history, generating a tsunami of an unprecedented scale, obliterating coastal villages and towns in a matter of minutes.

‘Surviving the Tsunami’ features exclusive footage and amateur videos giving viewers a comprehensive look at the destructive power of the catastrophic tsunami and its extraordinary stories of human survival.
