Gallery: Quake and tsunami warning

This morning New Zealand was issued with a tsunami warning following a 7.6 magnitude earthquake off the Kermadec Islands.

The warning came while the morning news shows were on the air.

    Suffice to say there is a thin line between “better safe than sorry” and “the boy who cried wolf”, but from what I see, New Zealand definitely crosses to the boy who cried wolf side way too much, eh?

    A very thin line. Imagine though if the warnings turned out to be ‘the real thing’ and the media had not been covering the story.
