Gallery: Firstline’s new look
3 News has launched its new look today.
It is the first major change to the channel’s news programmes since their new set was built in September 2008.
Below are some images and video from Firstline this morning.

I like it, looks good!
The ticker is almost unreadable, and the bug on the bottom of the screen looks almost identical to Sky NewS!
Explains the way they switched to Sport last night, as well as the moon appearing on the weather graphics instead of the stars.
I notice these things, I don’t know why.
Terrible font choice – it lacks authority and impairs readability. The yellow highlight at the right-end of names etc is also a distraction.
The backdrop behind the news anchor looks great – but also fake.
Overall, pretty disappointing. Loved the understated previous look. May yet come to love this one, but I doubt it.
Disappointing that the background is fake… was quite obvious when the person in the news room doesn’t move one bit!
This sounds/looks the same as their election special – maybe it was a trial run?
