Broadcaster Kerry Smith taking medical leave from The Breeze

Broadcaster Kerry Smith is taking medical leave from her role as 10am – 2pm announcer on radio station The Breeze.

Ms Smith has been diagnosed with treatable melanoma, and wants to focus on her treatment and recovery.

“We fully support her decision to focus on her health, and we look forward to Kerry’s recovery and return to the station,” said Programme Director Ian Avery.

The leave is effective immediately.
