Matt Heath moves to Haruaki
The new host of the Radio Hauraki drive show is Matt Heath, The Radio Network revealed today.
“Matt now adds mainstream radio host to his list of achievements that include comedian, musician, TV and movie star and writer,” said Radio Hauraki programme director Mike Regal announcing the appointment.
Heath is better known for his collaborations with Chris Stapp in the movie The Devil Dared Me To, their TV show Back of the Y Masterpiece Television, and playing in rock band Deja Voodoo.
“With his diverse talents we believe Matt’s show will offer an entertaining point of difference, he’s an incredibly talented performer who will bring a new dimension to Radio Hauraki.”
Matt Heath said “I’m stoked. This is a huge new challenge.”
According to Mike Regal, “Matt joining Radio Hauraki is the final piece of the jigsaw puzzle. Music and positioning changes are well underway so Radio Hauraki is now well placed for a year of growth in 2011.”
The new show will kick off on Tuesday 31st January at 4.00pm.
Heath moves to Radio Hauraki from bFM where he has been breakfast host for the last six months.
