The Radio Network today revealed its new Auckland breakfast show on Classic Hits 97.4.
“The highly competitive breakfast market is vital to Classic Hits’ continuing success and it is important that we maintain our audience appeal, particularly in the 25-49 age bracket,” said Jason Winstanley, Classic Hits operations manager.
“We feel that our new team will bring a fresh appeal and be a show that provides Auckland listeners with something different.”
The three new breakfast hosts are Jason Reeves, who moves into breakfast from the Classic Hits afternoon drive show. He will be joined by comedian and best selling author Justin Brown (Myth New Zealand & Bowling Through India) who returns to the Classic
Hits breakfast show after an absence of nearly two years.
Completing the trio and new to Classic Hits is well known radio and TV presenter Stacey Morrison.
“I’m really excited about this new challenge. To be on the new Classic Hits Breakfast show fits well with where I’m at with my life and family, and my experience in wrangling high energy toddlers may come in handy with these two guys” said Stacey Morrison.
Justin Brown said “Nothing beats having a laugh with your mates and getting paid for it.
The only thing that would make this job slightly more appealing would be if the breakfast show started at midday.”
“Great radio teams are a combination of beauty and brains, I’m not sure what I bring to the table, but I can’t wait to tag along for the ride.” said Jason Reeves.
The new show will kick off on Classic Hits 97.4 on Monday November 22nd 2010.
