Kath and Kim to perform on world’s most yumerous island

Kath and Kim are to perform at the World’s Funniest Island festival on Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour next month.

“We are extounded to be invited to the World’s most yumerous Island,” say the ladies from Fountain Lakes “We are currently on a specific cruise as we speak and doing all the Islands. We can’t wait to drop in to World’s Funniest and getting a couple more lays when we arrive. We hear it’s just like Ibiza… but funny.”

Popular reporter leaves TVNZ

Popular TVNZ reporter Robyn Janes is leaving TVNZ it has been announced.

Janes joined Close Up in 2004. Prior to this, she worked on the Holmes programme and also spent a number of years covering politics in Wellington.

Janes has won numerous awards including Best Current Affairs Reporting for a daily programme in 2008 and 2009. In 2009 she also won Journalist of the Year at the Qantas Awards.

TVNZ’s Rawdon Christie tweeted “Very sad to see Robyn Janes resign from @CloseUp and TVNZ.  One of our best journos and a great colleague.”

Reel Late with Kate gets second series

Film fans will be happy to hear that TV3’s film news and review show “Reel Late with Kate” is getting a second series.

The final episode of the first season is this Sunday, with Season two kicking off straight away the following weekend.

The show will remain in its “reel late” timeslot of 1025 Sunday nights with the repeat Saturdays at 1030am.

Its main sponsor Event Cinemas is back on board.

Reel Late’s host Kate Rodger says shes “totally stoked” about the news.
