Pics: Grey Lynn man arrested after Jervois Road assault

A 22 year old unemployed chef from Grey Lynn has been arrested and charged with Common Assault.

This is in relation to the incident last night in Jervois Road, where a 55 year old man received a fractured skull.

One witness said he saw ambulance staff rushing an injured male to hospital.

He continues to be in an induced coma and in a critical condition in Auckland City Hospital.

Detective Senior Sergeant Gerry Whitley from the Auckland CIB would like to thank the public and residents of Jervois Rd for assisting the man who received the injuries, and for providing valuable information that led to the arrest of the 22 year old man
