Flynn excited about return to radio and spending mornings in her trackies
Former Sunrise and Nightline presenter Carly Flynn will be joining Mediaworks Radio in October as the Network News Reader Adult Brands.
Flynn will provide a strong, credible, adult focused breakfast news service for The Breeze Network, The Solid Gold Network plus several regional brands, based in The Breeze B studio, explains Breeze National Programme Director Ian Avery.
“News is incredibly important to the brands, and Carly brings a wealth of journalistic experience to this role from her years at TV3,” he says.
“She has a real passion for delivering the best possible news service.”
Flynn’s equally as thrilled about her return to the airwaves, saying: “I’m very excited about my new role and return to radio.”
“I’m looking forward to being part of the morning team and delivering the news to the nation!”
“Carly will be a great addition to the team and is looking forward to experiencing the wonderful world of radio,” adds Avery.
“The benefits include now being able to turn up for work in trackies and a baseball cap – no more 4am wardrobe and makeup!,” he jokes.
Currently on maternity leave, Carly will be joining the team in late October. “I always planned on returning to work relatively quickly after the baby and think this will be the perfect job for a new Mum!,” she says.
