Kate Lynch leaves TV3 for Close Up

Kate Lynch is leaving 3 News it has been confirmed.

TVNZ’s Andi Brotherston made the announcement via Twitter this afternoon.

The star reporter signed a contract with TVNZ over the weekend and will finish with TV3 in May.

TVNZ said they are rapt to have such a talented reporter joining their team.

Lynch has reported on some of the biggest stories during her 5 years at 3 News, as well as occasionally presenting Nightline, 3 News at 12 and Sunrise.
