Shortland Street star Adam Rickitt has announced he is leaving the show. The British actor has been playing Kieran Mitchell on the TV2 soap for 3 years. Long running British police drama "The Bill" has been axed. The series which first aired in 1983 has struggled to turn around falling ratings in recent years.
