Star quits Home and Away

Soap star Jodi Gordon is quitting Home and Away after five years.

The actress who plays Martha McKenzie, will film her final scenes at the end of next month.

A Channel 7 spokeswoman made the following statement. “Jodi has put in a tremendous five years on Home and Away. It was a mutual decision for her to take this next step in her career. Jodi will always be part of the Seven family and has our love and support as she moves forward.”

The decision comes after a bumpy year for Gordon.

Her relationship with Ryan Stokes whose father owns Channel 7 ended following an alcohol fuelled night on the town which resulted in her being reported missing.

She is now dating league star Braith Anasta.

Home and Away returns to TV3 on Monday.
