TVNZ celebrates 40 years of network news
One News celebrated 40 years of network news last night with a function in the atrium of TVNZ in Auckland.
Dougal Stevenson, Jennie Goodwin, Susan Wood, John & Kate Hawkesby, Cathy Campbell, Maggie Barry, Marcus Lush, Eric Young, Louise Pagonis, David Beatson, Pam Corkery and Lindsay Perigo were just some faces from the past who attended. With great speeches from Dougal Stevenson, Simon Dallow and Wendy Petrie. And a face of the future, Jack Tame spoke of the way newsrooms have changed.
The celebrations continued on Breakfast this morning where Dougal Stevenson, Jennie Goodwin, Lindsay Perigo and David Beatson read the mornings news. I have put together a little highlights package below.

Fab night!!
I do like that Judy Bailey made a formal apology to viewers of Thomas the Tank Engine for pre-empting the show to bring live coverage of some mountain erupting. I’m sure Wendy or Hillary wouldn’t do that.
Well done to the team.
