The Apprentice New Zealand Comes to TV2
TVNZ is launching a local version of the hit international reality series, The Apprentice.
Commissioned for TV2, the New Zealand version will draw on the popular American format, which is fronted by legendary business tycoon, Donald Trump.
General Manager of Programming, Jane Wilson, says that TVNZ is thrilled to be able to bring a local version of this popular programme to New Zealand audiences.
The Apprentice is an international hit – with successful locally produced versions in over 20 countries around the world.
“We have a wide breadth of talent in New Zealand with many successful business men and women, as well as talented participants who will potentially win a big opportunity to advance their career. Not only does the show have the jeopardy of winning or losing a dream opportunity, it will inspire Kiwis who watch it.”
“The Apprentice NZ will join TV2′s big hits next year and form a key part of the channel’s exciting new season line-up.”
The local version of the show is to be made by award-winning local production company, Great Southern Television, who had great success earlier this year with TV2′s Rescue 1.
A New Zealand business tycoon has yet to be named.
