Go Girls hits Aussie screens

New Zealand show ‘Go Girls’ hits Australian screens this week.

The show set on Auckland’s North Shore follows the lives of Amy, Britta and Cody who have made a vow that in one year they’ll fulfil their ambition to be… rich, famous and married.

It begins tonight on Ten Network at 10.25pm.

Go Girls has been given the green light for a second series. Production will commence later in the year and will screen on TV2 in 2010.

The episode that screened last night was the second episode. The first episode screened about four weeks ago on Ten, but as canned after Ten rejiged it’s failing Friday lineup (moving US SYTYCD later and pushing out Go Girls)

Haven’t seen last nights rating figures yet, but I imagine it would have done pretty poorly against both NRL and AFL final games in most capital cities.

I actually like this show. After approx 10 episodes or so, it has grown on me.

It’s a pity that it’s being shown on a commercial network and hidden away late on a Friday night. Still if Seven or Nine had purchased it, we wouldn’t be seeing it all.
