The Edge radio station is on the hunt for one couple to get hitched – there is a hitch though – they must be naked when they say ‘I do’.
The Edge ‘Nudie Nuptials’ will be an unconventional way to marry, but loads of Kiwi couples are already keen to take it off and take the plunge. Jay-Jay Feeney from The Edge Morning Madhouse said, “We announced we were looking for a couple to get married naked and already we’ve had so many couples calling us saying that they’d be up for it! I can see the appeal, we’re giving them a once in a lifetime opportunity to win an amazing wedding worth over $50,000.”
‘Nudie Nuptials’ is the fourth wedding to be carried out by The Edge. Feeney explains, “Over the past ten years The Edge has successfully married three sets of complete strangers, who now have children and are still together, so this time round we thought we’d go for a cheekier twist.”
Willing couples can enter online at www.theedge.co.nz, with the five finalists being announced on September 7th. The public will vote on who they think should bare all and the winning couple will be revealed on September 14th.
The Edge ‘Nudie Nuptials’ will take place on September 24th, on the brand new multi-million dollar Ipipiri Overnight Cruises ship in the Bay of Islands for the winning couple and their guests. Guests’ clothing will be optional.[ad]
