More FM Auckland’s new breakfast line up

Auckland’s More FM is launching a new breakfast show this week.

Jeremy Corbett, host of the show for the last 16 years, is joined by afternoon hosts Joe Cotton and Jesse Mulligan.

Jeremy, Jesse and Joe will be the new force in Auckland breakfast radio.

Programme Director Rodger Clamp says: ‘I’m excited to have Jeremy Corbett working with Joe and Jesse. If they have half the laughs on air as they do in the office everyday, I’m sure our listeners will enjoy this new show.”

Joe Cotton was a former member of Truebliss and also won the reality show Pop’s Ultimate Star. She has also starred on C4’s Jono’s New Show and has previously worked on radio station The Edge and joined More FM in December last year.

“Obviously I’m totally excited/nervous/amazed….I feel like a VERY lucky girl to be presented with such an amazing opportunity. I get to work with Jeremy who is hilarious and such a pro… (don’t print that though.. it’ll totally go to his head…) and I have the added bonus of husband #2 Jesse, he’s like my very best girlfriend who just happens to have man bits.”

Jesse Mulligan is a stand up comedian and actor. He was at More FM Wellington for a number of years prior to moving to London. He joined More FM Auckland at the beginning of this year.

“Jeremy, Joe & I were meant to spend all week planning, but the three of us get on so well, it’s really felt like a holiday. We’re all bursting with new ideas for the show and we can’t wait to get on air and try them out.”

Original host Jeremy Corbett is looking forward to the new show: “For me it’s a bit like Joe and Jesse are a new pair of shoes. Funny shoes. With colourful laces… and having worn them around the house a bit I’m now very excited to wear them out.. in public… Obviously with pants and stuff too.

I can’t wait to pass on my vast broadcasting knowledge to Joe and Jesse. In fact, just this morning I was talking at them for a few hours and they were lapping it up. They had obviously been celebrating the new show last night, because they both fell asleep.. Man! They missed some real gems.”

Jeremy, Jesse and Joe are on 91.8 More FM Auckland, weekdays between 6 and 10am.

Who is the breakfast newsreader on More Fm Auckland, and is it seperate to the networked bulletin the rest of us receive?

  2. Moron FM says:

More FM has networked it’s Drive shows throughout the country as at 17 Aug 2009. It’s now a network feed from Wellington (Tom and Josh). Most drive announcers at local More FM’s around the country have been unceremoniously dumped – Jesse and Jo should be glad that they had somewhere to land! The daytime shows will be next. Who knows how long before Radioworks’ “local station” will be fully networked?

  3. Radiofan says:

What a shame for NZ radio. Apart from The Breeze in a few markets, More FM was the only consistently local national station all day long until 7pm.
    Why Wellington?

Like the new show but what happend to Kim? What is he doing now?

  5. Norelle says:

Bring back Kim, Corbett and Hilary!! There sense of humour was great, not forced. May be you should put Jo on late nite love! A lot of her comments for a breafast show are inapppropiate!!!! Why was Kim given the axe?????

    Hi there,
I’m still recovering from not hearing Kim’s voice in the morning.( not in gay way).. I’m probably the only Samoan listener in South Auckland but I grew up with More FM. The KAC show had more characters like Deacon the first time caller. I listened to you guys on the way to school and now on the way to work. The new show is ok but totally missing the Kim factor.(not disrepsecting the new comers). Oh and of ocurse the ‘mouth of the south’ Hillary..hehe Is Kim gona do his own radio show or has he gone into porn?..hahaha Thanks

  7. Pa1myguy says:

With all this networking by MORE FM, how come they need 2 announcers in the afternoons in Palmerston North, when much larger places have none, eg Welly, Hamilton??
