The new news ticker is a lot better and easier to read than the old one.

Looks a little different but feels like the exact same show. Won’t make much difference in the ratings.

You’d hope so, huh Chris (?). Brilliant show today, lots of funny moments. The look is fresh and I think it will attract viewers. Good stuff.

Unfortunately I don’t think this change is going to make a difference in their poor viewership numbers. They average 20,000 a day, which is embarrassing, and a real shame because it is a quality show. When I turned it on this morning, I was disappointed by the changes and the white, orange and black reminded me instantly of Mitre 10 Mega, however when I viewed it on a larger, high def TV it looked not so bad. The problem I have with Sunrise is that as a regular viewer, the jokes between presenters become old and too much, sure, they are funny, but throughout the broadcast when the content changes from news to sport to weather, petty jokes don’t need to be made EVERY TIME. Also, Oliver Driver needs to get out of the jeans and sneaks and wear some dress pants and nice shoes. Because so much of the show features him and Carly on the couch, it is all visible and just looks tacky; if they are serious about reaching over 20,000 people. Nonetheless, Sunrise in my opinion defeats Breakfast day in, day out,. The ratings may be significantly lower, but Paul Henry is a complete bore and considers humor to be making fun of people, not actual jokes. His disregard for some people, places, and events is disgusting and he is the primary reason I do not watch TV One.

Sunrise average audience lately is 33,240 for all viewers aged 5+

I think its an improvement – quite good quality, however I agree with a previous commentor that Oliver Driver’s sense of humour gets boring very fast. Time for a new male host I think.

Mr Driver needs to slow down when he speaks. Sometimes it’s gobbilty gook. But he’s not as obnoxious as he was when he first started, and they really gel as a team. Plus Jack the dog is a darling and you can’t have one without the other, I imagine! I like the new look and I do think it will win them new viewers. Best of luck, Sunrise – we need an alternative to what One offers.

i was wondering if you saw, on the first day of the new Graphics, what they had on the wether ticker for Milford Sound? I was waiting for it because it looked like they had just shortened every place name! And, yes, it turned out they had Milf as their shortened version for Milford Sound. I laughed when they had it changed the next day. Did you get a shot of that?!
