Reporters now shooting, editing on the go
DanNews.co.nz understands that from today Prime News reporters will have to film, write and edit their own news stories.
Over the last month the already stretched news organisation has been preparing itself for the redundancies of several producers and cameramen.
The show is now being directed out of Australia.
Prime News recently stated that the 5:30pm bulletin would continue to be produced out of New Zealand.
What do you think of this move? Should Prime continue with their news bulletin?

Prime News will continue to cover all of the major news events around New Zealand and overseas.
Looking at the news bulletin from last night on primenews.co.nz, you can see some slight differences in presentation. The banners, intro’s and outro’s are all exactly set out the same as Sky news AUS bulletins ( If anyone watched it before this minor refresh they’ll know what im talking about). But i believe prime news is important and it gets alot of viewers so yeah i believe its worth keeping it!
Why don’t they just drop the whole bulletin. Sounds like more hassle than its worth.
Looks like they’ve dropped sports presenters now too. Eric reading sport tonight.
