The results also gave Breakfast the edge over Sunrise (64% vs 36%) in the morning news category and 3 News overwhelmingly won the majority of the vote when it came to the best set ( 80% vs 20%).
In answer to the question “If you could change anything about news broadcasts in New Zealand what would it be?” there was a wide variety of responses. Including:
- “Shave Sainsbury”
- “Would like to see Philip Sherry reading the news and using his style of presenting, instead of the naked ladies we have now.”
- “Less blatant Labour bias by Political Editor Duncan Garner on TV3″
- “Less National Party bias from Duncan Garner”
- “The One News set”
- “Less serious news, more infotainment”
- “Less infotainment, more news”
Well done to the winners and thanks to everyone that voted. Merry Christmas to you all and I look forward to doing it all again, bigger and better in 2009.
